Talent Search
Advanced Testing Opportunities
Talent Search is an opportunity for students in grades 3-8 to participate in advanced testing. Students identified for the Project Challenge program are asked to participate.

Third - Fifth Grade Students
Third-fifth grade students may take the Explore test from the Northwestern University's Midwest Academic Talent Search (NUMATS). Applications are processed by the Project Challenge Coordinator.

Sixth Grade Students
Sixth-grade students may take the SAT test. Applications are processed by the Project Challenge Coordinator. The SAT is given in February at a local school. Information is sent out in October to prospective students through backpack mail.

Seventh & Eighth Grade Students
The Midwest Academic Talent Search is conducted by the Center for Talent and Development and is available for students in seventh and eighth grade. They are invited to take either the ACT test or the SAT test. Information is sent to prospective students, and their parents are asked to apply online for the tests. Both tests are given in the spring semester.
