We appreciate all volunteers. If you’re not sure how to get involved, contact your school’s building facilitator to see where you fit in!
We are on Facebook! Follow District 75 Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) to get news and updates.
Providing a safe environment for our children is essential to our children’s education. To volunteer or enter the building, a background check needs to be on file. Please bring your driver’s license each time you visit to facilitate this process. Contact the school office if you have questions. More information.
Become a member of our secure volunteer database. PTO Manager lets us enter PTO events and the chairperson's contact information. You can also enter your volunteer interests for upcoming events.
Once you create a login account, you can enter your contact info. A list of volunteer opportunities is provided for you to check off what you like. Chairs of the different events will contact you according to your interest.
This is a quick, easy way to stay in touch with the PTO events and opportunities and also to continue to play an active role in your child's learning and community.
Volunteer Opportunities at School
District 75 schools and teacher always welcome your participation in your child's education. Volunteer during the day in the classroom, library, lunchroom, holiday shop (MG), book fairs, book swap (WA), picture day and at class parties.
The Elementary Schools host Family Events throughout the school year in the evening. Contact your school’s chairperson to volunteer at your school.
The PTO provides dinner during fall conferences to the teachers in the elementary grades, and recognizes their efforts in the spring with a luncheon and special activities. Faculty are treated to a Back-To-School Brunch and Holiday Luncheon every year. Volunteers are always needed to set-up, clean-up, serve and provide food items.
Carl Sandburg Middle School
The PTO sponsors a few Activity Nights during the school year. At Activity Night your Sandburg student can socialize with friends, play board games, perform with the Karaoke machine or play basketball or volleyball in the gym. There is a small entrance fee and snacks/drinks are also available for purchase.
The PTO operates the concession stand during all home athletic games & meets for the following sports: Boys/Girls Volleyball, Boys/Girls Basketball and Wrestling. The PTO is always looking for volunteers to staff the concession stand from 4:00pm –6:00pm on the night of these events.
The PTO hosts several dances on Friday nights for middle-schoolers at Carl Sandburg. Volunteers are needed to staff the concession stand, decorate, set-up, clean-up and chaperone the dance. Join us for a fun evening!
