Encourage the of Love of Reading!
The PTO sponsors Scholastic Book Fairs at all of our district schools. In addition to encouraging reading, the book fairs earn credits towards free books for our school and classroom libraries and raise money that is used to fund PTO programs.
Each school year, the PTO sponsors a Fall and Spring Book Fair in each building. The first fair of the year is typically open during fall conferences, and is an opportunity for parents to do some holiday shopping for students or teachers. The fairs operate on a "cash and carry" basis like a regular bookstore. Students may be given the opportunity to visit this fair during school hours.
Parents are welcome to visit the book fair at any time throughout the day. Simply sign in at the office and then come down to the book fair to browse. We’d love to see you there!
If you are interested in donating a book to your child’s classroom, look for the classroom wish list display while you are visiting the book fair. Many of the elementary school teachers and middle school language arts teachers fill out a wish lists of books they would like to add to their classroom libraries.
Volunteers are needed for set-up, staffing, and tear-down at each school.
