Elections & Responsibilities
Member Election
Board of Education members are elected by a districtwide vote in April of odd-numbered years. The Board of Education is made up of seven members, including a president, vice president, and secretary from their membership. The school district's business manager acts as the treasurer. The seven-member board serves without compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Business and financial operations
  • Community relations
  • Educational programming
  • Overall administration
  • Personnel
  • Students

Meetings
Citizens are encouraged to attend and participate in board meetings. Notices of special meetings are published well in advance of meetings. Informal meetings focusing on special topics are also held periodically. View a calendar of upcoming board meetings.
