Bucket Filler Book

Principal Jim Kallieris and his staff are creating a culture of caring throughout Washington Early Learning Center.

Mr. Kallieris is starting off the school year reading students the book, Have You Filled A Bucket Today, a book that encourages positive behavior in children.

“We want children to understand that when they make other people feel good they make themselves feel good,” he said.

Students and staff alike are pointing out acts of kindness in each other and symbolically filling up each others’ buckets.
