On Sunday March 18, any student who lives within District 120 boundaries were invited to participate in this educational and fun event.
The event handed out $20,000 in scholarship money, which was donated by local businesses. Each school was given cash prizes to the top 3 winners. Carl Sandburg Middle School’s top 3 winners were; Tori Collins $500, Caleb Beversdorf $250, and Kajak Patel $100. Way to go Tigers!
District 75’s Superintendent Dr. Andy Henrikson and CSMS’s Assistant Principal Mike Sand were there to help proctor and grade tests.
"One of the things I enjoy most about this competition is how well the middle and high school students work together during the team competition. These students have the confidence and interpersonal skills needed to succeed in the workplace,” said Dr. Henrikson.
