Halloween is just around the corner, and the District 75 Parent Teacher Organization is ready to host the fifth annual Spooky Boogie Bash! Dress up in your favorite Halloween costumes (yes parents, you too!) and participate in the costume contest, judged by Miss Mundelein Jr. and Little Miss Mundelein! Then try your hard at the carnival games, turn your teacher into a mummy, snap some pictures at the Photo Booth, and enter the Haunted Hallway (at your own risk, of course!). Pizza from Hitz!, delicious spooky treats, Witches’ Brew beverages, and glow items will be available for purchase throughout the night. “The PTO has been Hosting Spooky Boogie Bash for five years now,” says Lisa Laffey, Co-President of the PTO. The purpose of the event is to provide “a fun activity for the students of Mechanics Grove while also raising money for the PTO. The funds that we raise at this event go back into the budget to help fund field trips, assemblies, after school clubs, and teacher grants as well other opportunities for our students in District 75.” What a wonderful way to savor the spookiness of the season while supporting our D75 students!
The Spooky Boogie Bash will be held at Mechanics Grove School, 1200 N. Midlothian Rd, Mundelein, on Friday, October 12, 2018, from 6pm-8pm. All D75 students and families are welcome! Tickets are available for presale at $10 each until October 4th. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door at the price of $12. Please note that all children should be supervised before, during, and after the event. The PTO hopes to see you there!
