Substitute Teacher Job Fair

All candidates must have a current Illinois State Professional Educator or Substitute License. In addition to licensure requirements, the district is also looking for candidates with prior classroom/substitute teaching experience or equivalent experience who are committed to teaching and supporting all students.

Upon placement, substitute teachers earn $100 per day or $60 for half day assignments. Subs that are assigned to cover a long-term absence earn $212 per day (beginning the 11th day of the assignment).*

Applicants should visit the district website to complete an application.

Substitute License Requirements (per Illinois State Board of Education):

  1. Must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education to be eligible for a substitute license.
  2. Substitute licenses are valid for five years, and may be renewed with the payment of registration fees.
