8TH GRADE SYMPHONIC BAND PERFORMS AT PRESTIGIOUS MUSIC FESTIVAL

On Friday, March 23rd, the 8th Grade Symphonic Band of Carl Sandburg Middle School traveled to Northwestern University and took the stage at the prestigious Pick-Staiger Hall at the 42nd annual Northshore Concert Band Festival of Music. GETTING A HEAD START ON COLLEGE AND CAREERS AT CSMS

It’s never too early to start thinking about the future! Eighth grade students at Carl Sandburg Middle School recently engaged in a morning of activities and reflection designed to jump start their thought process about colleges and careers. A host of different institutions attended the event including: College of Lake County, CLC Tech Campus, Trinity International University, North Park University and the University Center. Additionally, the AVID and Schuler Scholar groups from Mundelein High School and the US Coast Guard also participated.
