The Mundelein District 75 STEAM Foundation brings community leaders from the private and public sector together in partnership, to create vibrant, hands-on learning experiences that inspire the imagination. Parents, business leaders, community members, and educators are all partners to deliver inspiring, new educational opportunities for our children and the community.

Our goal is to provide unique hands-on, minds-on opportunities for D75 students, educators and our Mundelein community that enrich Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math education with entrepreneurial experiences; empowering students as individuals and teams while impacting their college and future careers.  The key is to captivate children’s imaginations at an early age with an engineering mindset that inspires them to persevere as lifelong learners and entrepreneurs that will solve the problems of the 21st century.



Saturday STEAMers 2018 registration is now open! 

The Saturday STEAMers Program, formerly known as Saturday Scholars, is a District 75 STEAM Foundation sponsored enrichment program featuring a variety of unique courses that engages students grades K-8 in hands-on learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM)!  It will take place every Saturday morning between January 27 to March 10 at Carl Sandburg Middle School.  Please read the attached Saturday STEAMers 2018 Brochure for more details on the available courses and how to register.  Thank you!


Paper registration forms will go home to students today and tomorrow. On another note, several courses have recently been added that are not are currently not on the registration forms going home.  However, the attached copies have been revised to include these courses.  Here are the courses:


Just Your Art:  PRIMARY-  (Dawn Drury) Grades K-1

What child doesn't like playing outside and observing nature? In this course, students in grades K-1 will be creating nature paintings with different mediums such as sketching, watercolor and acrylic.  We will learn and create art from our natural habitat. 

Materials Fee: $5

Session: 9 a.m. 


Just Your Art:  YOUNG ARTISTS  (Dawn Drury) Grades 2-3

Students in grades 2-3 will create art using different mediums and learn design techniques. They will create their own postage stamps, posters, and other popular media using pencil, watercolor and acrylic paint. 

Materials Fee: $5

Session: 10 a.m. 


Just Your Art- SCULPTURES (Dawn Drury) Grades 4-5

Have you ever wanted to learn how to sculpt?  In this class, students in grades 4-5 will sculpt with Paper Mache and clay. They will create fish, birds and other nature forms in 3D.

Materials Fee: $5

Session: 11 a.m.
